MANILA, Philippines -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has extended the filing of applications for the fire officer and penology officer examinations from October 22 to October 27 because of persistent requests from interested parties.
The Fire Officer Examination (FOE) and the Penology Officer Examination (POE) will be conducted simultaneously on November 9.
Those qualified to take the FOE are incumbent personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) who have not yet acquired second level eligibility.
Meanwhile, the POE is open to incumbent personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) who have not yet acquired any second level eligibility, as well as non-BJMP personnel who are interested in joining the service.
Applicants for both examinations must be Filipino citizens, physically and mentally fit, of good moral character, have not been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude, and have not been dishonorably discharged from the military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in government.
Non-BJMP personnel interested in taking the POE exam should have a bachelor's degree, be not more than 30-years-old, be at least 5'4" in height for male and 5'2" for female, and have not yet been granted any second level eligibility or its equivalent.
Applicants should submit the following documents:
Properly accomplished application form (CS Form No. 100-F, Revised 2008);
Four copies of their latest 1.5" x 2" ID pictures with full name tag;
Two valid ID cards and a photocopy of each.
Applicants can ask for application forms at the CSC main or regional office, or visit the agency?s website at www.csc.gov.ph. Examination fee is P350.
Application forms may be submitted to the head offices of the BFP and BJMP or to any of the two agencies? regional offices.
CSC regional offices concerned will accept only applications of non-BJMP personnel. But the CSC Central Office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City is not accepting applications for both examinations.
