‘HTML’, the name of a baby boy born on June 10, goes viral
A couple from Santa Maria, Bulacan came up with a strange name to give to their firstborn and has left netizens stumped after it was revealed on social media.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, June 10, Sincerely Pascual, the baby’s aunt, shared the viral photo to where she revealed that her nephew was named Hypertext Markup Language R. Pascual. She said her brother chose the name “HTML” as a tribute to his profession as a web developer.
Baby HTML weighed 2.25 kilograms at birth and was delivered normally at the Bulacan Medical Mission Group Cooperative Hospital in Bocaue on June 10.
Pascual said in an interview with INQUIRER.net that having unique names runs in their family. Her brother Mac’s real name is “Macaroni ’85” and their other sister is “Spaghetti ’88,” while hers is “Sincerely Yours ’98.”
Not only that, Pascual said her sister Spaghetti has two children named Cheese Pimiento and Parmesan Cheese, and their given nicknames are Chippy and Peewee. They also have cousins named Design and Research.

Article continues after this advertisementAs the internet has warmly welcomed the Pascual couple’s little angel, netizens could not stop sharing their thoughts and reactions to the baby’s unusual name, and the viral post has now amassed more than 9,800 reactions, 1,600 comments, and over 7,700 shares as of writing.
