Young man in Tarlac nabbed for alleged rape

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Policemen arrested a 20-year-old man for alleged rape and spreading of a minor female’s nude photos online in a recent operation, the Tarlac provincial police disclosed on Tuesday, May 2.

The Tarlac police said, in a statement, that they arrested the suspect in an entrapment operation on April 28 led by the Tarlac Provincial Cybercrime Response Team at Abogado village in Paniqui town.

The cybercrime team, together with the provincial investigation and detection team and the Paniqui police, conducted the entrapment after the victim, a young girl, filed a complaint against the suspect, who was allegedly spreading nude photos of her online.

The police did not disclose the identity of the suspect, who faces charges of rape under the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, grave coercion, and violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009, under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
