Batangas rape suspect nabbed in Tarlac after 5 years in hiding
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Authorities finally caught up with a 60-year-old Batangas rape suspect, who was arrested Tuesday in Barangay San Vicente, San Manuel town, Tarlac province.
Col. Renante Cabico, Tarlac police director, said Abundio Ilag, a driver from Rosario town in Batangas, is the subject of a warrant of arrest issued November 2015 by Judge Rose Marie Manalang-Austria of Rosario Regional Trial Court Branch 87.
Cabico said Ilag was the third most wanted person of Police Regional Office 4-A in Southern Luzon.
“He went into hiding for almost five years in San Manuel,” he said.
Joint police personnel from Batangas, PRO4-A, National Capital Region, and San Manuel conducted the operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
In another operation, the police arrested a certain Jeremiah Parazo, 25, in Barangay Tagumbao, Gerona, Tarlac for alleged violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
