Drug suspect yields P46,000 worth ‘shabu’ in Oriental Mindoro buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN — Police and personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) arrested a man on Wednesday in a buy-bust operation in Pola town, Oriental Mindoro, the report said.
Rommel Bolon, 44, was arrested at about 3 p.m. after selling two sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000 in Barangay (village) Maluanluan.
Seized from Bolon were two sachets of purported shabu weighing about 9.2 grams and valued at P46,000.
The suspect, a resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, is under police custody and is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Mimaropa police have undertaken 430 operations from January 2021 to February 15, according to the Philippine National Police Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System.
