Cops arrest man for peddling shabu in Oriental Mindoro
CITY OF CALAPAN — Police arrested a man in a buy-bust operation in Socorro town in Oriental Mindoro province Monday evening, a report from the police provincial office said Tuesday.
Jonnel Leron, 21, a construction worker and resident of Barangay (village) Catiningan, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. by combined elements from the police and the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan).
Leron was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur buyer in exchange for P500 in Sitio (sub-village) Dama de Noche, Barangay Zone 1.
Also seized from the suspect were two sachets of suspected shabu, weighing about 0.3 grams and valued at P3,000.
The suspect is under police custody and will be facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
