Poe’s birthday wish for Duterte: Much deserved rest
MANILA, Philippines — “Everybody deserves a break. I wish for him his much deserved rest”, Senator Grace Poe said as she greeted President Duterte who marked his 74th birth anniversary Thursday.

The senator also hoped that Duterte’s wishes may come true.
“Birthday wish sa pangulo, gusto ko matupad mga pangarap niya at mga gusto niya at makatulog siya nang mabuti ngayong araw na ito,” Poe told reporters in an ambush interview at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.
The tough-talking President said he preferred to celebrate his birthday at home to sleep.
“I really do not want to celebrate. I just want to stay at home and sleep, and if there is somebody welcome to me, it’s my children and grandchildren,” Duterte said in a speech. / gsg
