Gigi Reyes’ brothers face tax evasion case

MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) on Thursday filed a P190.14 million tax evasion case against the brothers of lawyer Jessica “Gigi” Reyes, former chief-of-staff of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile.

The BIR charged Neal Jose Gonzales and Patrick Jean Gonzales, president and treasurer of realty company MGNP Inc., for failing to pay their correct income tax and value-added tax (VAT) for the years 2009, 2011 and 2012, Radyo Inquirer 990AM said.

The two were also unable to file their annual income tax returns for 2011 and 2012 and their quarterly VAT returns for 2009, 2011 and 2012.
