SC orders suspension of courts in areas affected by Super Typhoon Karding
MANILA, Philippines – Acting Chief Justice Marvic Leonen ordered the suspension of court activities in all levels for Monday in areas affected by Super Typhoon Karding.
Leonen’s memorandum issued on Sunday, also ordered the suspension of court activities in Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog and the National Capital Judicial Court.
“In view of the projected path as well as the wind intensity of Super Typhoon Karding, and in consultation with the Court En Banc, all court activites at all levels shall be suspended tomorrow, September 26, 2022, in Region 3 (Central Luzon), Regions 4 and 5 (Southern Tagalog) and the National Capital Judicial Region,” said Leonen in the memorandum.
For courts not mentioned in the memorandum, Leonen said their respective executive judges have the authority to suspend work in their respective stations.
“Share, help those who will be adversely affected. We are one community,” said Leonen.
