LOOK: Bong Revilla undergoes medical test before release from PNP custody

MANILA, Philippines — Former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. went through a medical examination at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Quezon City on Friday, as part of the standard operating procedure for his release from the PNP Custodial Center.

Revilla can now be released from detainment after the Sandiganbayan acquitted him of plunder over his alleged involvement in the P10 billion pork barrel scam.

After his acquittal, Revilla also posted bail for his 16 other graft cases related to the scam.

Revilla’s cases stemmed from his alleged allocation of P224 million from his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to bogus non-government organizations of Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged pork barrel scam mastermind.
