SC says it received anonymous disbarment complaint vs Sara Duterte

The Supreme Court on Tuesday said it has received an anonymous complaint seeking the disbarment of Vice President Sara Duterte involving her remarks of exhuming former President and dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court on Tuesday said it has received an anonymous complaint seeking the disbarment of Vice President Sara Duterte involving her remarks of exhuming former President and dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The anonymous complaint is on top of an existing pending case on disbursement for Duterte which was filed back in 2011.

Atty. Camille Sue Ting, SC spokesperson, made the pronouncement when asked if the SC has already received any petitions to disbar Duterte after her recent statements against the Marcos administration—including a supposed kill order against the President.

“Just this month, the Supreme Court received an anonymous complaint regarding her statements about the late President Marcos,” said Ting.

Asked if the SC has taken any actions regarding the complaint, Ting responded in the negative.

It was in October when the Vice President herself said she had warned Senator Imee Marcos that if political attacks from the current administration continued, she would personally dig up Marcos Sr.’s body and throw it into the West Philippine Sea.

Topics of disbarring Duterte recently ignited once again after she recently claimed that she hired someone to kill President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., his wife Liza, and cousin Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Duterte also threw expletives against the three.
