Binay: Napoles is Roxas’ ‘teacher’
VICE President Jejomar Binay said his nemesis Mar Roxas is a student of accused pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
Binay made this reaction after the Sandiganbayan Fourth and Fifth Division granted the bail petition of Napoles and former representatives Edgar Valdez and Rizalina Seachon Lanete.

Valdez and Lanete were granted bail by the two anti-graft court divisions after over a year in detention at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig because the prosecution failed to prove they received millions of kickbacks from Napoles.

Binay said Roxas was a student of Napoles just like Budget Secretary Butch Abad, who was earlier tagged by Napoles in her affidavit as having taught her the scheme in pillaging lawmakers’ Priority Development Assistance Funds and diverting these into ghost projects for kickbacks. Abad served as Batanes representative, while Roxas served as Capiz congressman.

Binay said Napoles even surrendered to President Benigno Aquino III in Malacañang when an arrest warrant was issued against her over the serious illegal detention complaint of Benhur Luy. The case will later result in her conviction and life imprisonment at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong.

While Napoles was granted bail for her two plunder cases, she remained detained serving her life sentence with her bail petition denied in the plunder cases of Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada and Ramon Revilla Jr.
Of the three, only Enrile was allowed to post bail by the Supreme Court due to humanitarian reasons. Revilla and Estrada were denied bail.
