PMA chief stresses importance of honor code

BAGUIO City, Philippines—Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Superintendent Oscar Lopez on Sunday stressed the importance of the academy’s honor code in shaping the life and values of a cadet.

Lopez said the honor code is the guiding principle of every cadet citing “it must be life that must be reformed by the honor code.”

“No matter how horrible the villains are, the good will always prevail,”  Lopez said in his welcome address at the 2014 PMA graduation.

“Remember how PMA values and motto shaped your life,” he added.

He encouraged the graduates to continue to live up to the academy’s motto of courage, integrity, and loyalty.

“Only then you can make your alma mater proud,” he said.

The 222-strong cadets of PMA “Siklab Diwa” Class of 2014 is led by Cadet First Class Jheorge Llona from Daraga, Albay.
