BAGUIO CITY, Philippines- The commencement exercises of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) formally kicked off on Sunday morning in Fort del Pilar.
Cadet First Class Jheorge Llona from Daraga, Albay led the the 222-strong “Siklab Diwa” Class of 2014.
Dismissed Cadet Jeff Aldrin Cudia did not join the graduation ceremonies after President Benigno Aquino III deferred the decision of the academy’s honor committee dismissing Cudia.
The graduation rites were attended by President Aquino, Vice President Jejomar Binay, diplomatic officials, and other government officials.
Albay Governor Joey Salceda also attended the ceremony in support to valedictorian Llona.
The Presidential Security Group (PSG) has imposed strict security for visitors and media.
