Man chokes daughter to death, kills self
MANILA, Philippines—A seven-year-old girl was killed after she was allegedly choked to death by her father before killing himself inside their house in Manila, police said Monday.
Senior Police Officer 1 Jonathan Moreno, case investigator from Manila Police District’s Homicide Division, identified the fatalities as Nestor Dipasupil, 39, and Kimi.
The two were found dead inside their house on 5th Street, Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Moreno said Kimi bore ligature marks around her neck, indicating she has been choked to death with a length of a nylon cord that was found near her body.
When the child died, Nestor, on the other hand, could probably have killed himself by drinking a pipe cleaner, police said. A bottle of the chemical was recovered from the crime scene.
“Parang ganon ang lumalabas na pinatay niya muna yung bata bago ang sarili niya kasi parang naiayos na niya yung pwesto nung bata tapos sya nakasubsob sa lapag,” Moreno said.

He said Nestor’s wife is working in Italy, and has been there for around two years based on the statement of the victim’s relatives.
