Ex-drug convict nabbed for robbery in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY – A former drug convict was arrested early Tuesday for robbing a school teacher in this city.

Lieutenant Colonel Ruben Ballera Jr., Lucena police chief, reported that law enforcers nabbed alias “Adrian”, 23, in his safehouse around 1 a.m.

The police recovered from the suspect three gold rings and P38,000 cash from the pawned stolen pieces of jewelry.

The suspect was also found in possession of shabu and marijuana worth P22,870.

On Monday, Nov. 13, the suspect entered the house of school teacher Maan Grace Herera, 39, in Barangay Cotta and stole assorted jewelry worth P115,600.

The police said Adrian was arrested on drug charges on June 9, 2020. The suspect was detained and is facing criminal charges.
