MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. has declared Tuesday, April 1, 2025, a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid’l Fitr, or the Feast of Ramadan.

The declaration was made through Proclamation No. 839, signed by Marcos on March 20. The move follows the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), which earlier proposed either March 31 or April 1 as the national holiday.
