Robbery suspect in Quezon town yields shabu

LUCENA CITY – A man suspected of robbing a house yielded shabu (crystal meth) after he was arrested by police in Candelaria town in Quezon province early Saturday.

Candelaria police, in a report, said the alleged robber, Numeriano Ambal, 45, broke into the house of John Philip Dimayuga in Barangay Pahinga Norte at around 11 p.m. on Friday.

The suspect carted away two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanks.

Ambal was later arrested by police operatives in another part of the village around 1:10 a.m. and recovered only one LPG tank.

During a routine search, police found a plastic sachet of shabu worth P11,220 from the suspect.

The suspect was detained and is facing charges for robbery and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
