LUCENA CITY — A 38-year-old male Nigerian yielded more than P17.2 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) when arrested on Jan. 28 by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives in General Trias City, Cavite.
In a belated report on Sunday afternoon, the PDEA in Region 4A identified the arrested suspect as Ebuka Ezike, classified as a “high-value” drug personality.
The report said Ezike, a boutique shop owner, was collared in a buy-bust operation around 9 a.m. inside a subdivision in Barangay Baclatan.
Authorities confiscated from the suspect 2.5 kilos of shabu with a street value of P17,250,000.
Police were conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
The suspect was detained and is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
