3 suspects yield P204,000 ‘shabu’, gun in Cavite, Masbate buy-busts

POLICE arrested three drug suspects and seized P204,000 worth of shabu during buy-bust operations Wednesday and Thursday in Cavite and Masbate provinces.
Anti-illegal drug operatives arrested on Wednesday night two alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) peddlers in Dasmariñas City in Cavite and seized three sachets of meth weighing 15 grams worth about P102,000.
In Masbate City, authorities arrested Thursday a drug suspect and recovered P102,000 worth of shabu.
In a report Thursday, the Calabarzon police said members of the Cavite drug enforcement unit collared at 11:20 p.m. Finland Nunez and Melandro Ravelo in Barangay Datu Esmael.
The report said the suspects were found with a caliber .38 revolver with three bullets.
Article continues after this advertisementThe suspects were placed under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and another case of illegal possession of a firearm.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Masbate, Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, reported that Alfie Laurio, 36, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. in Barangay Espinosa in Masbate City.
Confiscated were 15 grams of shabu, a mobile phone, and other non-drug items.
The confiscated evidence and Laurio were brought to the Masbate police for proper disposition. INQ
