Over P1 million shabu seized from 4 drug suspects in Calabarzon
LUCENA CITY – Police seized more than P1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) on Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 28 and 29) from four arrested drug suspects in buy-bust operations in Quezon, Cavite, and Rizal provinces.
Police Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, reported that anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Melody Revilloza and Marie Baldoviso around 1:44 a.m. Sunday after they allegedly sold P14,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) San Jose in General Luna town.
Authorities confiscated from the suspects 20 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 100 grams. The illegal drugs have an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P680,000 and are worth P2,040,000 in the street market, the report said.
Ledon also reported that policemen armed with a search warrant swooped down on the safehouse of two suspected illegal drug traffickers in the neighboring Padre Burgos town around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday.
The raiders busted Rommel Ayala but his associate Gregorio Ayala managed to elude arrest. The report did not state how the suspects are related to each other.
The police recovered 29 sachets of meth with a DDB value of P52,156 and worth P156,468 on the street. The cops also found 28 bullets for a caliber .45 pistol.

In Cavite, members of the provincial police drug enforcement unit collared Mark Angelo Celis, another “HVI”, in Barangay Sampaloc 4 in Dasmarinas City at 3 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect yielded five sachets of meth with a DDB value of P170,000.
Meanwhile, anti-narcotics operatives in Binangonan, Rizal arrested Kim Jude Mambo in Barangay Calumpang around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities confiscated seven sachets of meth with a DDB value of P131,240.
All suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
