Suspected drug pusher nabbed in Occidental Mindoro

CITY OF CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines — A suspected drug pusher was arrested by police and agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) on Saturday, Jan. 28, in a buy-bust operation in San Jose town in Occidental Mindoro province, police said Sunday, Jan. 29.
Ramy Gelig, a 45-year-old high-value individual on the local drug scene, was arrested at 7:35 p.m. after selling a sachet of suspected crystal meth, or shabu, weighing about 0.3 grams and valued at P1,000 to a poseur buyer in Barangay Pag-Asa.
Also confiscated from the suspect was a sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.5 grams valued at P4,000.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Caminawit, is under police custody and will face a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
