Drug suspect falls in buy-bust in Occidental Mindoro town

A high-value drug suspect was arrested in San Jose town, Occidental Mindoro province during a buy-bust operation on Friday (Jan. 27), authorities said.

CITY OF CALAPAN—A high-value drug suspect was arrested in San Jose town, Occidental Mindoro province, during a buy-bust operation on Friday (Jan. 27), authorities said.

In a report, local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Mimaropa identified the suspect as Rene Boy de los Santos, 43.

De los Santos allegedly sold a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent during the operation in Barangay (village) Labangan.

The suspect, a resident of Barangay Poblacion 5, was placed in police custody and will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002.
