Wanted rapist in Batangas nabbed
LUCENA CITY — A 57-year-old man wanted for repeatedly raping a teenage girl was caught Wednesday morning, Jan. 25, in San Pascual town in Batangas province, police said.
Police Colonel Pedro Soliba, Batangas police chief, in a report identified the arrested suspect as Francisco Rosales, a resident of the locality.
The report said Rosales was caught by police operatives armed with a warrant of arrest in his safehouse in the said town at around 10:32 a.m.
He is facing rape charges at the Regional Trial Court Branch 1 in Batangas City since Jan. 23 with no bail recommended.
He was accused of repeated sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl in the town sometime in June and July 2022.
The suspect, classified as “most wanted – regional level” will be detained in San Pascual police jail.
