Weeklong anti-crime drive nets 71 suspects in Tarlac
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The weeklong anti-criminality campaign in Tarlac province resulted in the arrest of 71 suspects, the provincial police disclosed on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Colonel Erwin Sanque, Tarlac police director, said they conducted the province-wide operations from Dec. 5 to 11.
He said those arrested include 33 wanted persons. Among them were three individuals on the lists of the regional and provincial police offices.
Sanque said they also arrested 11 suspected drug peddlers, and seized 41 sachets of shabu (crystal meth) during the same period.
He said four more people were arrested for illegal gambling, two for gunrunning, and 21 others for various offenses. INQ
