In La Union, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David issued an executive order on Sunday, Sept. 25, suspending classes at all levels, both private and public schools, and work in government offices on Monday — except for those involved in health, safety, and disaster risk management.

Camarines Sur guv orders forced evacuation, class suspensions due to Karding

Camarines Sur Governor Vincenzo Renato Luigi Villafuerte ordered a forced evacuation and the suspension of classes in anticipation of heavy rain brought by Super Typhoon Karding (international name: Noru).
In a memorandum issued Sunday afternoon (Sept. 25), Villafuerte said all local officials were directed to evacuate residents of flood and landslide-prone areas.

Marcos Jr. OKs suspension of gov’t work, classes on Sept. 26 due to Karding

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has ordered the suspension of government work and classes on Monday, Sept. 26, due to Typhoon Karding, Malacañang announced Sunday.
Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said the President has approved the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to suspend work and classes.
New class suspension guidelines now in effect — DepEd

The new guidelines on the suspension of classes are now in effect starting Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, the Department 0f Education (DepEd) announced.
According to DepEd Order No. 37 series of 2022, class suspensions for online and face-to-face classes in all levels are automatically suspended once the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issues any Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS), an Orange and Red Rainfall Warning, or a Flood Warning.
Nueva Ecija governor says classes, gov’t work suspended due to Karding

The provincial government of Nueva Ecija has suspended classes on Monday, Sept. 26 in all levels in public and private schools, in anticipation of the effects of Super Typhoon Karding (international name: Noru).
Governor Aurelio Umali, in an advisory issued Sunday, Sept. 25, declared the suspension of classes, as well as the suspension of work in all government offices, except for those involved in relief and rescue operations.
“Meanwhile, private companies are given the prerogative to decide whether to suspend work in their respective establishments,” Umali said in an announcement. He also called on his constituents to be on alert.

Classes in public and private schools as well as work in government offices in Quezon province on Monday, Sept. 26, have been suspended due to super typhoon Karding (international name: Noru).
Governor Angelina Tan, in Memorandum Circular 006 issued on Sunday, Sept. 25, said classes in all school levels in the province, including Tayabas City and Lucena City, are suspended on Monday.

DepEd: Classes in areas with typhoon signal automatically suspended

The Department of Education (DepEd) in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region said that classes and work in schools from kindergarten to Grade 12 and Alternative Learning System (ALS) are automatically canceled whenever there is a typhoon signal in any locality.
The agency posted the reminder on Facebook after the state weather bureau forecast that Super typhoon “Karding” (international name: Noru) would landfall in Northern Luzon around Sunday night, Sept. 25, and would affect most of the island on Monday, Sept. 26.

Classes in Aurora suspended on Monday due to Karding

The provincial government of Aurora has suspended classes in all levels for Monday due to Severe Tropical Storm Karding (international name: Noru), which is expected to make landfall in the country on Sunday morning or afternoon.
The province of Aurora announced the suspension as early as Saturday as Karding continued to move towards Luzon.
