LEGAZPI CITY — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has recorded 129 volcanic earthquakes in Mount Bulusan in the last 24 hours.
Phivolcs detected only 15 volcanic earthquakes in the previous monitoring period.
In its bulletin on Sunday, Phivolcs said the volcano emitted 556 tons of sulfur dioxide flux on July 2.
Moderate plume emissions reached 150 meters high, drifting northwest and west-northwest.
Phivolcs recorded phreatic eruptions on June 5 and June 12 that covered several villages with ash.
