Meralco: No power supply interruptions from New Year’s Eve to Saturday

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Tuesday announced that no power supply interruptions are scheduled from New Year’s Eve until Saturday, January 4, 2025.

In a series of advisories posted on its website, Meralco said that the next scheduled power supply interruption will be on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

The power interruptions are due to maintenance and testing works inside the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ Makban substation and the First Philippine Industrial Park in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The following areas will be affected by the upcoming service interruptions:

January 5, 2025

Sto. Tomas, Batangas – between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

• Batangas Paper Corp. in Brgy. San Felix

Sto. Tomas, Batangas – between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

• Fort Wayne in First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Bgy. Sta. Anastacia

Meralco urged affected residents and businesses to prepare for these interruptions and take necessary measures.
