Pagasa: Fair Sunday weather in Metro Manila, most parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather with isolated rain showers will prevail in Metro Manila and most parts of the country on  Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The southwest monsoon or “habagat”, meantime, will affect Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands, where scattered rains and cloudy skies are expected.

“Within 24 hours, makakaranas po ng magandang panahon dito sa Metro Manila at ‘yung malaking bahagi ng Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

(Fair weather will prevail in Metro Manila and most parts of Luzon.)

“Yung buong Visayas at Mindanao po makakaranas ng magandang panahon, bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ‘yung mga kalangitan pero may mga isolated rain showers po tayong ine-expect, mga panandaliang pulo-pulong pag-ulan,” he added.

(The entire Visayas and Mindanao will experience fair weather, partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but isolated rain showers are expected.)

No gale warning is raised over the country’s coastal waters.

The state weather agency is still monitoring the two tropical cyclones that recently left the Philippine area of responsibility.

“Yung dalawang bagyo na mino-monitor po natin ay patuloy na kumikilos papalayo ng Philippine area of responsibility,” said Bulquerin.

(The two tropical cyclones that we are monitoring continue to move farther away from the Philippine area of responsibility.)

“Wala rin po itong direktang epekto sa ating bansa kaya’t most parts of the country makakaranas po ng magandang panahon,” he continued.

(These will not have a direct effect on our country, which will have fair weather.)
