Tacloban people urged to always obey health rules as city set for June 30 fiesta

TACLOBAN CITY — This city’s top health officer cautioned the public to always follow the minimum health requirements especially since the local government will celebrate its fiesta on June 30.

Dr. Gloria Fabrigas, city health officer, said they want to make sure that there won’t be any surge in COVID-19 cases.

At present, Tacloban only has one active case of COVID-19.

Several activities related to the fiesta celebration have resumed, including the nightly events held at the grounds of Magsaysay Boulevard.

Due to the pandemic, only Church-related activities were allowed in the last two years.

While Tacloban is now placed under Alert Level 1, city health officials said they will continue to vaccinate residents.
