2 suspected drug peddlers yield P1.7-M worth of ‘shabu’ in Taguig drug bust
MANILA, Philippines – Members of anti-narcotics police have arrested two drug suspects and confiscated approximately P1.7-M worth of shabu (crystal methamphetamine) in an entrapment operation conducted in Taguig City, the National Capital Region Police Office said Tuesday.
In a statement, NCRPO identified the suspects as Erin Yusa, 34, and Masulot Tasil, 50, both residents of Taguig City.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad said at about 11:30 evening of Monday, Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the entrapment operation at Barangay Central Bicutan, Taguig City, which led to the arrest of the suspects.
Seized from the suspects’ possession were one P1,000 bill, boodle money worth P12,000, one silver digital weighing scale, one black sling bag, and the alleged shabu with an estimated weight of 255 grams worth to P1, 734,000.
The apprehended suspects are currently detained at the Custodial Facility of Taguig City Police Station for appropriate disposition, according to the NCRPO.
Meanwhile, Natividad reminded personalities involved in illegal drugs that the national police force and its partner agencies remain adamant in pursuing anti-illegal drugs campaigns.
