MANILA, Philippines — While he is “not bothered” by the two-percent score he earned in the latest Pulse Asia presidential survey, Senator Panfilo Lacson said he thought his performance in interviews and forums should have gained support for his candidacy.

“After the presidential interviews and forums, I thought I should gain instead of [losing] support,” Lacson said in a statement on Monday.

Nevertheless, the senator vowed to continue with “this fight all the way to Election Day.”

“Surveys are not elections. Last time I heard, election is on May 9. I’m not bothered at all simply because the numbers I feel on the ground are different from what the surveys indicate,” he added.
