4 drug suspects held in Rizal, Quezon; P8-million ‘shabu’ seized
LUCENA CITY — Police nabbed four alleged big-time drug traffickers and seized over P8 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in San Mateo town, Rizal province, and in this capital city of Quezon province on Thursday, February 3.
Col. Dominic Baccay, Rizal police chief, in a report said anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Dierick Dela Cruz, 24; Jeffrey Dimaano, 29; and Jeffrey Dalaodao, 35, after selling P7,500 worth of crystal meth to an undercover police officer in Barangay Guitnang Bayan 2 at 1 p.m.
Authorities confiscated 31 plastic sachets of shabu – some of them placed inside colored bags printed with Chinese characters – weighing 1.1 kilos with an estimated value of P7,480,000 and a weighing scale.
The police also seized two motorcycles believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
In Lucena City, anti-narcotics agents busted Erwin Banta in another drug sting operation in Barangay Ilayang Iyam around 12:10 p.m., Col. Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, said.

The suspects were detained in San Mateo and Lucena City police jails and are facing criminal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
