P345K ‘shabu’ seized in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two suspected drug personalities and seized P345,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate buy-bust operations in the provinces of Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte on Thursday, Feb. 3.

Col. Julius Guadamor, director of the Camarines Norte police, said in a report that the suspect, identified only as Intong, was arrested at Barangay (village) Dogongan in Daet town at 7:40 p.m.

The authorities recovered two grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P5,000 and a .22-caliber pistol with a magazine loaded with six bullets.

Investigators said the suspect was on the drugs watch list in the said village.

In Pili town in Camarines Sur, Lito Sinson, 41, was also arrested in Barangay La Purisima at 2:43 p.m.

Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, said the team recovered 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000 and a loaded .22-caliber from Sinson during the buy-bust operation.

Calubaquib said Sinson was a newly identified illegal drug personality.

The suspects will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
