Bulacan records its 6th COVID-19 case

CITY OF MALOLOS –– The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Bulacan province rose to six on Wednesday, local health officials said.

Dr. Jocelyn Gomez, Bulacan provincial health officer, said the latest case is a Filipino male senior citizen from the United Kingdom, who went home in San Ildefonso town to attend a birthday party.

Gomez said they had started conducting contact-tracing involving the man’s families and those who he met.

On Tuesday, Baliwag Mayor Ferdinand Estrella announced that he was also tested positive for COVID-19, making him the 5th case in the province.

Both new cases are being treated at a hospital in Manila.

As of Wednesday, Bulacan has 68 cases of persons under investigation or PUIs for the virus./lzb
