Around 800 personnel of the Eastern Police District (EPD) will be deployed to 15 cemeteries within the eastern portion of Metro Manila during the observance of All Saints’ Day, Chief Supt. Bernabe Balba, EPD director said on Friday.

The EPD said it is now ready to secure the safety of the public on the upcoming occasion on November 1.

“As we all expect, this occasion creates traffic congestions along major roads coming from transport terminals, thus the occurrence of accident is expected to happen,” Balba said in a statement.

He said the police should implement measures to prevent possible criminal and terrorist attacks.

“‘Undas 2018’ is not just a normal holiday and people expect that we can strictly implement security measures and prevent crimes that would eventually not hinder the time they can spend with their departed loved ones. So let us not fail them,” he said.
