Cops eye teen in kidnap-slay of schoolmate

A 17-year-old student has been suspected by the police of paying for a hit on his schoolmate, who was allegedly abducted by armed men in San Pedro, Laguna and found dead on a vacant lot in Cavite over the weekend.

The father of an Indian student who died after being gang-raped on a bus has called for changes in the law to allow a teenage suspect to be tried as an adult, local media reported on Tuesday.
