MANILA, Philippines--A 36-year-old man was shot to death early morning on Christmas Day allegedly by his neighbor in Manila.
Mariano Domingo, of 124 Quirino Street, Barangay 116 Zone 9, in Tondo, was declared dead on arrival by attending doctors at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center from two bullet wounds in the chest.
Manila Police District operatives have fanned out to hunt the suspect and Domingo?s neighbor identified only as a certain ?Loloy Gudino,? who fled after the shooting.
PO1 Gerry Amores of the MPD homicide section said the killing happened at around 3 a.m. Friday just outside Domingo?s home.
Amores pointed out that before the incident, the two men were having drinks with other neighbors when they argued.
Domingo?s father Rogelio told the case investigator that he saw Gudino draw a handgun and shoot his son twice in the chest. Gudino then fled while he and other neighbors brought the injured victim to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, the effort proved futile.
Homicide investigators are conducting follow-up operations for the suspect?s arrest.
