DOJ files rebellion raps vs 12 Maute group supporters
The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday filed before the Cagayan De Oro Regional Trial Court (RTC) a case for rebellion against the 12 suspected sympathizers of the Maute terrorist group arrested last Friday in a hospital in Pagadian City.
Facing a case for rebellion are Racma Macatuon Talib, student; Cosnia Talib, 63, housewife; Yusoph Taha Halil, 42; Sapacan Sabar Talib, 50, farmer, former barangay captain; Mansawi Imam Gumobat, 46, farmer; Amerodin Capga Ameril, 42, farmer; Lambo Ampaso Ameril, 42, housewife; Huwarda Macatuon Talib, 30 years old, married, housewife; Sanabae Saliling Macatuon, 55, farmer; Dima Ampaso Ali, 50, farmer; Halil Saliling Ali, 30, tricycle driver; and Alanoden Macatuon Dimarugong, 24, driver.
The case was elevated to the RTC after the suspects underwent an inquest proceeding early Tuesday.
One of the arrested suspects, Junaid Dimarugong alias Ameodin Ameril, died at the hospital while seeking medical treatment.
