Monsoon rains to persist in PH despite typhoon’s exit – Pagasa
A wet Wednesday is likely as the state weather agency predicts that rain will continue since the southwest monsoon still affects the country despite Typhoon Gardo’s exit.
Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro, Palawan, Romblon, and Western Visayas will experience monsoon rains, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Occasional rains, meanwhile, may be expected to occur in Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, ARMM, Pangasinan, Marinduque, and the rest of Central Luzon and Calabarzon.
The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
Gardo left the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday night. It was last spotted by Pagasa at 650 kilometers north of extreme Northern Luzon. /kga
