2 killed in shooting incidents in Taguig City
Two persons were killed and another was wounded in separate shooting incidents in Taguig City from Thursday night to early Friday.
A resident found Rodel Dizon and Arcam Geguna dead, each with a gunshot wound in the head on Snake Road, Barangay Sta. Ana around 11 p.m.
Chief Insp. Ramon Christian Laygo, Taguig police investigation chief, said the unidentified resident heard people laughing while a motorcycle engine was roaring.
When the motorcycle stopped, he heard gunshots and found the two already dead. Laygo said they were still investigating the motive for the killing, but a relative said it might be related to the cockfighting hobby of the victims.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Jefferson Alcantara was wounded after he was shot with a pen gun by a group of men.
Senior Insp. Glenn Amsiwen, chief of the local police precinct, said Alcantara was standing at Purok 6, Barangay Lower Bicutan, around 1 a.m. when he was chanced upon by a group of gangsters who mauled and chased him.
