QCPD files assault complaint vs Sara Duterte, OVP security chief

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) filed direct assault complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte and the head of her security group before the City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

The complaints stem from an incident during the transfer of detained Office of the Vice President (OVP) chief of staff Zuleika Lopez from the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) to the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) in Quezon City on Nov. 23.

Brawner: It’s not true that I will take over VP Duterte’s security group

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. on Wednesday denied reports that he is taking over the security group of Vice President Sara Duterte.

Marcos, UAE leader tackle maritime issues, regional stability

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to resolving maritime issues through the rule of law and adherence to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced.

In a statement on Wednesday, the PCO said regional stability was a key topic in Marcos’ discussions with UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during his one-day working visit to the country.

2024 bar exams result out on Dec. 13 – Supreme Court

The result of the 2024 bar examinations will be released on December 13, the Supreme Court (SC) said on Wednesday.

According to the High Court, the results will be released at the Supreme Court Main Building Courtyard.
