SSS facilitates release of victims’ claims
The Social Security System (SSS) will speed up the release of the claims of the families of the victims of the Resorts World Manila attack.
In a statement on Monday, the SSS said “victims and family members may file their claims applications in the two help desks set up in the funeral parlors where the victims were brought to.”
The state-run pension fund has formed a special team to assist the victims and their families to file and claim their benefits.
“A help desk was set up in the two funeral parlors, namely Veronica and Rizal Funeral Parlor, to facilitate immediately the casualties’ claims. SSS initially wanted to set up the help desk in the Resorts World premises but the hotel is still on lockdown,” the SSS said.
Those injured who were brought to Pasay General Hospital and San Juan de Dios, “were given SSS forms and were instructed properly on the requirements needed for filing,” the SSS said.
“SSS also coordinated with the management of Resorts World Manila and Marriott Hotel and were provided the official list of the 13 employees and their addresses and 22 guests who died in the incident, ” it said.
“The casino management has yet to identify two additional casualties recovered from the incident,” the SSS added.
