Two killed in Olongapo gun attacks
OLONGAPO CITY – Two people have been killed here since Thursday (Sept.15) by unknown assailants in two separate gun attacks, police said.
The first victim was identified by the police only as “Klang-klang.” She was shot dead on the streets of Barangay (village) Kalaklan at about 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, said Sen. Supt. Jerry Sumbad, acting director of Olongapo City Police Office.
On Friday (Sept. 16), an unidentified man was found lying on the road in Barangay East Tapinac at about 1:25 a.m.
Police said the man, who had a gunshot wound in the head, was still breathing when they found him. The man had a placard with the message, “’Wag nyo ako tularan, pusher ako (Don’t emulate me, I’m a drug pusher).
The man died at a hospital here.
Police said both attacks could be related to the illegal drug trade in the city. CDG
