5 suspects killed in Pasay, Makati, Munti
Five drug suspects were killed in separate incidents in Pasay, Makati and Muntinlupa cities on Wednesday night and early Thursday.
Two were killed in an encounter with policemen conducting “Oplan Tokhang” in Pasay City on Wednesday.
Police identified the fatalities as Gerald Bituaran, 28, member of “Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang,” a resident of Barangay 193, and Jessie “Toto” Gomez, 34, a member of “Bahala na Gang” and resident of Barangay 194.
Both were on the drug watch list of the Pasay City airport police community precinct (PCP).
Case investigator PO3 Alfredo Aquino Jr. said members of the airport PCP led by Senior Insp. Neil Deveraturda were conducting Oplan Tokhang along Verbena Street around 6 p.m. when told about the duo’s presence under Cut-Cut Creek bridge corner Naia Road, Barangay 199.
The suspects allegedly shot the approaching policemen who returned fire, hitting the two. The suspects were declared dead on the spot.
Article continues after this advertisementAlso in Pasay City, a canteen helper was shot dead in front of his house on FB Harisson Street, Barangay 5, Zone 2, on Wednesday night.
Article continues after this advertisementSix assailants onboard three motorcycles approached Randall Orio, 45, at 10:45 p.m. Two back riders alighted and shot the victim before fleeing, police said.
The victim’s employer, Precy Nacional, 55, told the police that Orio was a drug user.
Michelle Orio, 35, half-sister of the victim, said he was formerly detained in Pasay City Jail on drug charges.
Early on Thursday, a suspected drug pusher was shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Makati City.
Police identified the victim as Prince Santos, 23, a resident of Block 132 Lot 15 Juan Luna Street, Barangay Rizal.
Santos was brought to Ospital ng Makati where he was declared dead on arrival.
According to the police, neighbors and bystanders said the victim was a known drug pusher in the area.
Crime scene operatives recovered five empty shells of a .45-cal. pistol and a leather coin purse containing two sachets of suspected “shabu.”
An alleged drug pusher and robber in Muntinlupa City was killed in a shootout with police operatives on Thursday.
Case investigators SPO1 Ronnie Tamondong and PO3 Glenn Quinay said Alex Magallanes was killed inside his home around 10 a.m. on Thursday, at 7A Sitio Anahaw Extension in Barangay Alabang.
Magallanes, 23, also said to be involved in some killings in Muntinlupa, was included on the watch list, police said. With a report from Dexter Cabalza
