German stewardess adopts dog ‘stalker’
A stray dog from Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina, “stalked” a woman for months until she had to bring him home in Germany.
Olivia Sievers, a German flight attendant, became acquainted with a stray canine just near the hotel where she stays every time she flies to Buenos Aires. After less than a year, she decided to adopt the pup and bring him home to Germany, as the dog would wait for her every arrival in the hotel.
Every time Sievers went for a walk around the city, the dog, whom she named Rubio, would follow her and act as if it were her “chaperone.”
“I tried to change my way as I didn’t want him to follow me to the hotel but it was not possible he always followed me so I tried [to wait] one hour but he always watched me and followed me,” she told Argentine news program Noticiero Trece. She also said that Rubio first laid his eyes on her around January or February this year.
At one time Sievers gave the pup an airline blanket to make him warm him during a chilly evening.
She once tried to have Rubio rescued and adopted by a kind family, but he escaped and went back to his favorite spot at the hotel.
To end the canine’s longing, she finalized his adoption papers and brought him to Germany on Friday, August 5. Gianna Francesca Catolico
