MALAYSIA—A woman has been criticized for allowing her son to answer the call of nature openly at Forbidden City, one of Beijing’s premier tourist attractions, Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported.

Ignoring the stares of tourists, the boy took off his pants and urinated at a highly visible area while his mother stood beside him, it reported.

A tourist took a photo of the act and uploaded it onto social media, where it quickly went viral.
