Sta. Mesa fire kills 75-year-old man, injures 3 others
A 75-year-old man died in a fire that hit a residential area in Sta. Mesa, Manila Wednesday morning.
In a report by Ruel Perez of Radyo Inquirer 990 AM, fire investigators said the blaze started at a two-storey apartment in Landcom Village at 5:28 a.m.
Authorities found the body of Jose Cenon inside the bathroom of his house.
Three others were reportedly injured. Ten-year-old Stephanie Cenon and Raynesa Cenon, 32, both suffered second-degree burns. Bernardo Cenon, 47, sustained a leg injury.
The fire was declared out at 6:12 a.m. Estimated damage to properties is worth P500,000.
According to Senior Fire Officer 4 John Joseph Jalique, fire investigators are still determining the cause of the fire. With a report from Tetch Torres-Tupas
