EARLY MORNING MELTDOWN In this videograb, Vice President Sara Duterte again lets it all out against the first couple and their allies in the House of Representatives at an online press conference she called on early Saturday morning.

MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is already preparing for the arrival of Vice President Sara Duterte on Friday in reference to the subpoena it issued against her over her alleged threat against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s life.

“The subpoena is at 9 a.m.,” the NBI told reporters through Viber on Thursday.

However, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) has yet to confirm whether Duterte will appear before the NBI.

It was on Tuesday when the NBI issued a subpoena against Duterte over her remarks involving a kill order she herself admitted against the President, First Lady Liza Araneta, and Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Duterte said she instructed a still unidentified personality to kill Marcos, his wife, and cousin in the event of her demise.

Duterte on Wednesday said she asked the NBI to reschedule the subpoena as she was set to also attend a House panel probe on the alleged misuse of funds in the OVP.

However, the House committee on good government and public accountability on Thursday postponed the hearing to give way for Duterte to answer the summons and for the House to “no longer be used as an excuse.”

Furthermore, the NBI also said that it has not received an official request from Duterte to move the summons.

Apart from the cases being investigated against her by the NBI, Duterte is also facing complaints for grave coercion, direct assault and disobedience—all of which were filed by the Philippine National Police.
