‘Takbo’ marshal hurt in BGC hit and run
A marshal for DZMM’s Takbo 2015 was hurt early Sunday when she was hit by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at the fun run’s venue inside the Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the radio reported.
Giselle Ann Nicanor, 23, of Barangay Pinagkaisahan, Makati City, was reportedly preparing for the start of the run when she was bumped by black Hyundai Tucson at about 4:20 a.m. along 8th Avenue of the business district.
“Mabilis ang takbo,” (It was speeding) said dzMM of the SUV that hit Nicanor, citing witness accounts.
According to dzMM, CCTV footage from a bar on 9th Avenue, which was adjacent to the accident site, showed the vehicle coming out of the nightspot’s parking area minutes before the mishap.
BGC security personnel tried to drive after the SUV but it managed to flee.
The radio checked the parking blotter of the bar where the vehicle reportedly came from and found the entry “ZJP 992” for a black SUV that left the premises before the accident.

Article continues after this advertisementThe condition of Nicanor, who was rushed to a hospital, was undetermined as of posting, but reports quoted one of her siblings as saying that “Nakakausap pa” (They could still talk to) the victim.
DZMM Takbo 2015, which was on its 5th year, reportedly started on time at 5 a.m. According to organizers, it aims to raise funds for a scholarship program benefiting 75 elementary students. CB
